THE TEMPLE FOR PERFORMING ARTS
Architecturally considered the jewel of the Temple, our fourth floor ballroom features restored stained glass ceilings and windows, elegant two-story columns, ornate lighting fixtures, and a sculpted ceiling. It’s the perfect atmosphere for an elegant reception or conference.
This 110-year old space was once used as the buildings loading dock and deemed historically significant, thus leaving the design to maintain the historic character. Selective demo of only two non-bearing walls occurred, leaving the remaining space unaltered and existing materials exposed. Featuring a lower level with full bar, and mezzanine space with additional seating, St. Kilda is the perfect space for exclusive dinners and events.
ST. KILDA COLLECTIVE VALLEY JUNCTION
A new restaurant in West Des Moines is currently filling the empty shell of an old Ford dealership built in 1914. This 7200 sq ft space includes a breakfast cafe and bakery, a full bar, an upscale dining space with an open kitchen, and a private event space for meetings, events, rehearsal dinners, and wedding receptions.
Franka Pizzeria — with its rustic metal panels, laminated wooden beams and elegant black-and-white wallpaper — blend perfectly with pendant lights and Edison bulbs. And floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the stunning view of the downtown Des Moines skyline. This polished-casual restaurant anchors the northwest corner of a dowel laminated timber (DLT) office building in a vibrant urban neighborhood.
